Information regarding closure to Kensington Community Recreation Centre

The health and safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority during the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

As part of City of Melbourne’s planned response to reduce the chance of the virus spreading, we have temporarily closed Kensington Community Recreation Centre. You can read the City of Melbourne’s full statement, which lists all City of Melbourne-owned services that will be temporarily closed including public libraries, here.

We understand how important this facility is to you as a customer and recognise this is a difficult process for everybody.

We will continue to work with City of Melbourne to ensure we are doing what is best for our community by monitoring the situation very closely and following the advice of the DHHS, so that we can reopen our facility as soon as is practical.

Your membership will automatically be placed on free suspension during the time that we are closed, so you won’t be charged.

We will remain contactable throughout the closure period should you have any questions. We will also ensure we provide updates as they become available. In the meantime, you can keep updated via the City of Melbourne website here melbourne.vic.gov.au.
For more information and the latest on COVID-19, see the DHHS resources.

Please take care of yourselves and others. The sooner we can slow down and stop the spread of coronavirus, the sooner we can return to normality.
