What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body workout performed on a specialised piece of equipment.
Using a moving carriage, springs for resistance and adjustable straps, it adds variety and challenge to traditional Pilates exercises.
This style of Pilates is designed to:
- build strength through controlled resistance training;
- improve posture and alignment by engaging core stabilising muscles;
- increase flexibility and mobility with lengthening and stretching movements;
- enhance mind-body connection by focusing on precision, breath and technique.
Unlike mat Pilates, the Reformer provides both support and resistance, making it suitable for beginners through to advanced participants.
Whether you’re looking to rehabilitate, tone, build strength or take your training to the next level, Reformer Pilates at KCARC has a class for you.
