Social volleyball
Melbourne Volleyball Academy (MVA) bring people together through the fun and energy of volleyball.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just keen to give it a try, they have sessions at all levels where you can enjoy the game, meet new people and be part of a welcoming community.
Session times
- Open play games: Thursdays, 6:30pm-9:30pm
If you’d like to develop your skills further with our coaches, MVA run adult training programs at the nearby North Melbourne Community Centre.

Volleyball training
Tempo Volley brings social volleyball training and games to the Kensington community. Their sessions are designed for those who want to learn more about volleyball while having fun on the court.
Their social training sessions at Kensington are led by accredited coaches and are perfect for all levels, from complete beginners to social players looking to improve while staying active and connected.
Each session combines:
- Skill practice: Build confidence with serving, passing, setting and spiking.
- Friendly games: Put those skills into action in a supportive, game-style environment.
