The Kensington Community Recreation Centre offers swimming lessons, water safety, aqua fun days and swimming carnivals for schools.
We cater for primary and secondary schools, across all ages and levels, from beginner to squads. Whether you’re looking for a venue for your swimming carnival, an integrated component of your PE program, a fun excursion or end of year event for your students, we can tailor a program suitable for your school's needs.

Our programs are flexible to suit your needs. Choose from a range of program lengths, teacher/student ratios, structures and activities, all run by nationally qualified instructors. Custom programs can include:
|Swimming Lessons||Water familiarisation, stroke development, and water safety skills|
|Water Safety Day||Personal survival and water safety. Can include clothed swim, PFD/lifejacket experience, aquatic rescues suited to age and ability, beach and waterways education|
|Aqua Fun Day||A great day of fun and excitement encompassing water activities, inflatable toys and games|
|Swimming Carnivals||Just for fun or as trials for SSV interschool competitions. Carnivals can include a range of competitive and novelty events. We can facilitate with pool bookings, lifeguards, and equipment including; tables and chairs.|
How it works
Classes are usually run in the following format:
- Children are assessed at the start of the program and placed in their correct group for the duration of the program
